Long-time football staffer Nathan Poss, a fixture since the leather-helmet days, recently was named president of the National Directors of Football Operations.
Whatever Poss is getting paid, it’s not enough. Operations professionals juggle a myriad of details, ranging from team hotel reservations to scholarship paperwork to meeting parents during campus visits to ordering 200 breakfast tacos for hungry players.
Nathan joined the UTEP staff in 1997. He has tended to Miners under five coaches — Charlie Bailey, Gary Nord, Mike Price, Sean Kugler and now Dana Dimel. Jolly good to see national attention come to a loyal Miner who has served so many, for so long.
